Shiny Lamp

I'm not exactly sure what I think about this Mercury Lamp from Under the Table and Dreaming--I like it but I don't know if I'd ever use one.  In any case, I want to remember how to make it!

Embellishing Shirts

Flamingo Toe shows how to make a ribbon flower T-shirt--I love this concept--you could make just about anything!

Anne's Antics makes some pretty T-shirts

Board & Batten

I love board and batten!  Isabella and Max Rooms provide the links to all these great pictures where some tutorials are found:

Bread Recipe

I know how to bake bread an have for years but there is something beautiful about a very simple recipe and there's something intriguing about this recipe from Crazy About Cakes that uses weight for the measure.

Great idea for a science fair project!

Sewing Kit

This is an adorable sewing kit for kids from Flamingo Toes--they'd be a great gift!

Eyeballs

OK--so I know it's really not Halloween yet but I stumbled on these at Flamingo Toes

They reminded me of this cool wreath from Crafty Sisters

Kitchen Cabinets

Someday I'm going to need to do something to my kitchen cabinets and restaining seems like too much work.  I don't know if Vince would ever let me paint them but I love these before and after pictures of painted cabinets

BEFORE

AFTER

Pretty Sheet Metal?

When I saw the title for this post from Beautiful Nest "Vintage Windows and Galvinzed Sheet Metal" I didn't know what to think.  But what's not to love about this?

Valentine Subway Art

I must thank Fabulous Finds for feeding my infatuation with Subway Art--I love the rose petals...

Painting Countertops?!

I was intrigued to find out from The Wonders of Doing that you can paint countertops
There's paint specifically for it!!

Prettified Lamp

Here's a great lamp makeover from I Share Crafts

Prettified Lamp

Felt Flower Pillow

Making New Books Look 'Antiquated'

I love the look of these old books, not that I need ANY more books around the house--I can hardly find room for the books we do have...  I do notice here though that some of the books have a paper covering, which makes me think I could make some of the books I already have look nice in rooms where I don't generally store books.  But since I love the look, I will want to access the tutorial from Under the Table and Dreaming

Beautiful Bed

Kojo Designs gives an easy tutorial for making a knock off of this anthropologie inspired bedspread.  I doubt I'll ever make this but I do love it and if I ever had excessive time I would consider it:

rosettebedding

Ugly T-Shirt Flower Headband

I doubt I'll ever make this but Eva was pretty excited about it and I'm game for using old T-shirts...I think Ivy's got some good candidates.   From My Girlish Whims

I love what Cheap Chic Home did with these paper roses!!  It's a little different use for paper roses that also comprise the following wreath:

And speaking of wreaths, I'm also intrigued by this burlap version from Under My Polka Dot Umbrella

Stairs

Vince says no but I love them and I want to be able to find them again so here's from Cucumbers & Vinegar

Slipcovers

I just read about the benefits of white slipcovers and I'm feeling converted!  Not only that BUT I found a great resource teaching me how to make my own!  Pink and Polka Dot give this free step by step tutorial for a chair:

For $10 Pink and Polka Dot has an ebook that gives more details on making slipcovers.

Master Bedroom

I LOVE this bedroom--it feels so peaceful and I think I could make most all of this stuff.  I love how The Nesting Place used these colors...I may have to switch to gray instead of beige.  White slip covers, wood, balance of femine/masculine, places to sit, ...  It's beautiful.  Someday when I have wood floors I can even get a nice big rug.

Pom Poms

Mommy Creations proves very innovative with this Pom Pom headband.  Pom Poms made with tulle could be really fun for jewelry, home decor, etc.

Ruffled Wreaths

I love these ruffled wreaths from Beautiful Nest:

Book Wreath

This book wreath from Michele at Primp Decorating  looks fun to make!

Cami Secret Knock-off

BEST IDEA EVER!!

It's a cami--insert and sooooo easy to make.  Crafts Keep Me Sane gives an excellent tutorial--I think the best part is that it's custom so it will fit perfectly!

Valentine Heart

I really like this idea from Crafty Sisters--I think I could duplicate into something else if I wanted to...

Back Up Your Blog

I've been putting so many important (to me) things on blogs these past several months that I really need to consider backing it up.  Funky Junk Interiors makes it an easy step-by-step process...

Primitive Apothecary Jars

These are so easy to make!!  A Diamond in the Stuff gives a great tutorial

Lamps

Architectural Salvage Lamp Bases
I love these lamps from Pottery Barn...I'd like to think of a way to recreate them...

Valentine's Wreath

I've seen many great Valentine decor and wreaths but this wreath from Be Different...Act Normal is one of my favorites:

Household Organizer

I really need to think about coming up with a way to organize myself.  The more I think about it the more I realize I need to put everything (callings, kids, appointments, cleaning, financial, etc.) in one place which is why How Does She..." captured my attention with the introduction to a very similar concept.
